Training Games

We designed this class after teaching traditional basic obedience classes for years and frankly, everyone was just getting kind of bored with that. We were bored teaching the same things the same way. The dogs were bored. The owners were bored.
During one class Kat decided to mix things up and play doggy Simon Says and Musical Chairs. And you know what? Everyone had a ton of fun! The dogs learned the same obedience skills, plus engagement with their owners around distractions. The puppies kept up with the adult doggy pros. We were all laughing and enjoying playing and working as a team with our dogs instead of drilling obedience reps.
From that experience, we've built an entire class of dog games designed to teach traditional obedience, build confidence, build bonds, teach your dog impulse control, teach them to listen around distractions, teach them to relax around distractions and most importantly, teach you and your dog how to get on the same page and have fun TOGETHER.

Because this class is at a park, we've learned this class works really well for dogs with low impulse control, reactivity and poor attention spans. We can give you as much room as you need and bring you closer and further away to the rest of the class as your dog can handle things and succeed with the lesson each week. As they get more practice with the games and with what to expect, they can play the games at more and more challenging levels of difficulty.
