Pricing
One of the most common questions we get asked in regards to service dog training is "how much does it cost?"
So we'll jump right into that.
So we'll jump right into that.
The average cost of training of training a service dog is around 10-12k, but our owner-training program significantly reduces that cost. We teach you the skills you need to train your dog while they live with you. The total cost will be based on your individual needs and how quickly you and your dog are able to learn the necessary skills.
On average, service dogs take 2 years of training before they're ready to reliably perform tasks in public. Generally speaking, the more you practice and put into productive training, the better the results you'll see. Our pricing, just like the rest of our private lesson services, is a sliding scale model - meaning the more lessons you do with us, the less you pay for them (up to a point).
You decide how many lessons and type of services you need and for how long. We give recommendations, but you are never locked into any a set number of lessons or services. Your program is customized for you and you guide the process. $60 - Consultation fee
$200 - 1st set of 2 in-home lessons $180 - 2nd set of 2 in-home lessons $160 - 3rd set of 2 in-home lessons (price is locked in for all additional lessons) $120 - Single Lesson Option |
Program
Between the two of us, we've worked for and volunteered for 3 service dog programs, helped train dozens of service dogs (a variety of breeds), trained 4 personal dogs to do task work, and increased our knowledge and skills by networking with and learning from a variety of pet professionals. We each hold CPDT-KSA certifications and will soon be low stress handling and fear free certified. We adhere to LIMA and the humane hierarchy.
We are excited to bring together the best of what we've learned to create a brand new service dog program. Our program is more in-depth and here are some of the things we've added to create more successful experiences for you, your dog and the community:

We truly are working toward building the best possible program we can to allow our human and canine clients to be as successful as possible. This program will continue to evolve as we learn better and do better. Your communication and feedback helps us greatly with that goal.
We are a judgement-free zone. We have our own physical and mental health issues and we aren't perfect people, pet owners or trainers. We will do our best to guide and support you and give you the knowledge and skills needed to work toward a better future with your canine friend.
